The Arabic Beef Stew or kebab Halla has many recipes, but today I will share with you the authentic Arab taste of the kebab halla.
This recipe is served with white rice.
I will start with you by presenting a recipe for meat stew first, then white rice
Arabic Beef Stew (Kebab Halla)
INGREDIENTS
- 1 kilo meat without fat
- 1 Kilo onion- julienne sliced
- 8 Cardamom
- Half teaspoon black pepper
- Half a teaspoon mixed spices
- Half teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander
- 2 papers Laura
- 2 tablespoon Oil
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a frying pan, put two tablespoons of oil or ghee, according to your preference
- Add half the amount of onions and stir them well until you get a golden color
- Add the meat to the onions
- Add spices (cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf and black pepper) – mix spices is Optional)
- Mix the meat, spices and onions well and leave it until the meat starts to take a brown color
- Add a quarter cup of water
- Cover the meat and reduce the temperature, then leave it for half an hour
- Put the rest of the onion quantity now because this will give the meat that wonderful taste and also the shiny look after cooking
- Cover the meat and leave it on low heat for 20 minutes
- When the meat reaches a caramel brown color, it is ready
NOTES
It is necessary for this recipe to use white or yellow onions because they give an intoxicating taste to the sauce, unlike red onions
Within 10 minutes of preparing the salad, you will notice an increase in water in the salad. Do not ignore this water, drink it, it tastes wonderful and is very healthy.
Always prepare an appropriate amount for the number of people, because the salad, as I mentioned, wilts quickly and will not have a pleasant taste if you put it in the refrigerator and then serve it with another meal.

Notes
White Rice
INGREDIENTS
- 4 cup Egyptian rice
- 4 cup Hot Water
- 7 Cardamom pods
- Half Teaspoon Mastic
- Half Teaspoon Salt
- 2 Tablespoon ghee
- 2 Tablespoon Oil
INSTRUCTIONS
- Put two tablespoons of ghee and oil in a cooking pot
- Add half a tablespoon of mastic
- Add the cardamom and leave it in the pot for 20 seconds – till you start smelling the cardamom then add the rice
- Stir the rice well for 5 minutes – this step will help you get the fluffy rice
- Add 4 cups of hot water
- Cover the rice well and leave it on a high temperature until the amount of water reduces
- When the water decreases, reduce the temperature very much and cover it
- When the rice reaches its fluffy form, you can now serve it
NOTES
In this recipe, do not use broth because it changes the taste and makes the color darker. Just enjoy the taste of mastic and cardamom.
White rice with cardamom and mastic
