Kunafa recipes in Ramadan have become very diverse, and many flavors are included in them.
Recently, kunafa became served with many flavors, unlike in the past, it was limited to cream and nuts.
The reason for this is that the kunafa itself is very flexible and is suitable with many additions.
Therefore, in this post, I will present to you two unconventional Arabic recipes, the first will be for cheesecake and the second for marshmallows.
The good thing about these recipes is that they are quick and inexpensive.
For this recipe, we will need the kunafa syrup.

INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add sugar and water to a pot on the stove without stirring
- When it starts to boil, reduce the temperature and add lemon juice
- Leave the mixture for 15 minutes
- Put the kunafa syrup in a jar until it cools
- The end result is a kunafa syrup
NOTES
This quantity is suitable for making a konafa tray size 28/30/32
The konafa syrup should be of medium thickness
To make any quantity by measuring A cup of water for every cup of sugar
Arabic Desserts- Kunafa Syrup Recipe
Equipment

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups water

Cheese Cake Kunfa
INGREDIENTS
- 100 grams kunafa
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- ½ cup kunafa syrup
- 225 gm creamy cheese
- 250 ml (1 cup) liquid whipping cream
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoons Vanilla flavor
- 1 tablespoons rose water
INSTRUCTIONS
- Put the kunafa in a bowl and cut it with your hand, then add a spoonful of ghee to it
- Stir the kunafa with the ghee well, then put it in a small oven tray and press it well
- In a preheated oven, place the kunafi on the bottom rack for 5 minutes (or until golden in color).
- When the kunafa comes out of the oven, add the cold kunafa syrup (about ½ cup).and let it cool
- In a large bowl, add the cheese
- Using a food mixer, mix the cheese well (the cheese should be at room temperature so that it is easy while whisking)
- Add the whipping cream and mix it well with the cheese using a food mixer
- Add powdered sugar, a spoonful of vanilla and a spoonful of rose water
- Mix the above mixture well
- Pour the cheese over the kunafa and leave it in the fridge until it hardens
- Garnish konafa cheesecake with a few crushed nuts and dried roses (to get the red color, add some roses)

Marshmallow Kunafa
INGREDIENTS
- 150 grams kunafa
- 1 spoon ghee
- 1 spoon powdered sugar spoon
- 150 grams chocolate
- 120 ML ½ cup whipping cream
- 100 grams Marshmallow
INSTRUCTIONS
- Put the kunafa in a bowl and chop it well with your hands
- Put the ghee and powdered sugar on the kunafa and mix it well
- Grease a baking tray with a little oil or ghee
- Put the kunafa in the tray and press it well
- Put the tray in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 5 minutes or until it reaches a golden color
- Put the chocolate on the whipping cream in a small bowl and put it in the microwave for 30 seconds
- Stir the chocolate well with the whipping cream until the chocolate melts
- Put the chocolate on the kunafa and then put the marshmallows on top
- Place the tray under the oven grill for one minute (the marshmallows roast very quickly)
- Piece of marshmallow kunafa and put it in serving plates
