Ingredients
  

  • 4 cup Egyptian rice
  • 4 cup Hot Water
  • 7 Cardamom pods
  • Half Teaspoon Mastic
  • Half Teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Tablespoon ghee
  • 2 Tablespoon Oil

Instructions
 

  • Put two tablespoons of ghee and oil in a cooking pot
    Adding oil & ghee for rice cooking
  • Add half a tablespoon of mastic

  • Add the cardamom and leave it in the pot for 20 seconds - till you start smelling the cardamom then add the rice

  • Stir the rice well for 5 minutes - this step will help you get the fluffy rice
  • Add 4 cups of hot water
    add water to rice
  • Cover the rice well and leave it on a high temperature until the amount of water reduces

  • When the water decreases, reduce the temperature very much and cover it

  • When the rice reaches its fluffy form, you can now serve it

Notes

In this recipe, do not use broth because it changes the taste and makes the color darker. Just enjoy the taste of mastic and cardamom.
